About BPA Services
BPA Services Limited was established in Stoke-on-Trent in 1987. For nearly four decades we have provided health and safety consultancy to businesses across the UK and Ireland, building a team with over 100 years of combined experience across construction, manufacturing, education, local government, retail, leisure and professional services.
We have been providing CDM services since 1994, through every iteration of the regulations, and now act as Principal Designer on projects ranging from small commercial refurbishments to significant infrastructure and development schemes. The advice we give reflects how businesses actually work rather than how a textbook says they should.
We are based in Stoke-on-Trent and work with clients across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Our client base includes sole traders, SMEs, multi-site operators, public sector bodies, charities and housing associations. The work ranges from helping a small trade contractor through their first CHAS application to acting as Principal Designer on a complex construction project or reviewing a local authority's corporate health and safety framework.
Our Approach
Health and safety compliance has a poor reputation in some quarters, associated with excessive paperwork, box-ticking and advice that serves the consultant rather than the client. We have spent 37 years working against that. Our starting point is always the legal requirement: what does the law actually require in your situation? We build documentation and systems around that answer, not around a generic package.
We offer retained consultancy for clients who want an ongoing relationship: regular site visits, policy reviews, access when incidents arise and a single point of contact who gets to know your business. We also work on a project basis for clients who need a fire risk assessment, an accident investigation, CDM support or accreditation help without a long-term commitment.
The goal is always the same: a clear understanding of what is required, documentation your team will actually use, and the confidence that your health and safety obligations are being properly managed.
